Is the 1/4 panel from 69 roadrunner same as 70 road runner - just below the lowest body line?

I know they are different, but I’m wondering if they may actually be the same below the lowest body line behind the rear wheel (and the wheel well opening). I just need the lower portion behind the rear wheel and have access to a salvaged 70 quarters off a 4 door and am thinking they’d work on the 69..
They sure look similar. Attached green 1/4 is from the 70 4 door. And of course the black in is a full quarter for a 69.
Anyone know?

Area around the taillight will be different. If they're cheap, why not give 'em a try! One lesson I learned - replace as little of the sheet metal as possible !!

I “think” somebody used to sell partial lower quarters behind the wheel for 68-70….I “think”

An easy way to verify is to go to the AMD website and look up outer wheel housings and trunk extensions for both years. If they are the same part number, then your answer is yes. If different part numbers....then they are not interchangeable.

I was contemplating purchasing a 67 4 door to get repair panels for a 69, and a similar search revealed that nearly all items under the outer skin were interchangeable from 66-70. Convinced me enough to buy the rust free 4 door at a very reasonable price.

...and additionally, the 4 door 1970 quarter panel is different at the wheel house from the 2 door.

4 door is not as high of an arch.

The outer wheel houses are different, too.

There was a big stink about this, as whoever supplied AMD with OEM outer wheel houses as a pattern for their repros, supplied 4 door parts

They 68-70 take the same wheelwell trim.

Could be dofferent where the bumper notch is.
