I have an original 1964 Plymouth fury with its original early 727, the type with the push in speedo and park cable housing. I know the trans its different in some regards to the later ones,...

but will any 727 pan, or pan gasket, work for my 64 727 ?

Yes

My pushbutton runs a replacement 518 truck pan. Deep and cheap.

Just don't run the earliest pan that used an external filter. It's flat and shallow like this one. There's no room for the upgraded internal dacron filter. The next year pan had a recess for the internal filter.
