Is this '76 truck a good deal?

My friend is looking at this truck, a '76 Adventurer with a 440 that looks like it is in good shape. He talked to the guy and thinks he can get it for $8k, is that a good deal? http://m.ebay.com/itm/1976-Dodge-Other-Pickups-Adventurer-/132038396588

Truck looks clean if it's a true southern truck that's a plus. 8k sounds a little high.

Yeah, I don't think the guy will go much below $8k, maybe $7750 or something. He is asking $8500.

Appears to be a very nice truck. A little pricey though. Here in CA, most enthusiasts wouldn't consider it because of the smog laws. The last year for exemption is '75.

If the guy can show you receipts on the engine work, that looks like a good deal to me. I also like that he's got an extra gallon of the paint.

The wiring looks scary, which makes one wonder what else has been mickey moused. 5K tops.
