At least the gauges are secured with a hose clamp. That's the way the Roadkill guys do it, except they class it up a bit with some heat shrink around the clamp.

That is absolutely disgraceful......they didn't even use flush-cutters to trim the ties.

Always consult an expert before using Cable Ties.
