It must be a good time to buy old Mopars.

I've had almost any type of old iron car and always,no matter which, got compliments every time out. How many people will chase after a hellcat..new vette...mustang..challenger and give it a compliment...nones my bet

LOL. Air condtioning great sounding and strong running cars, that will split your cars wig probably pulling a coke machine! I would be jealous too :) If you buy and drive these "classics"cars to get attention from others, you should of picked up a 67-69 camaro.

I dont think jealousy has anything to do with it....

They are definitely performers no arguement there....

Here go talk about them all day long, post pics, dyno pulls, side by side freeway runs.....

Wont see many 1/4 mile vids tho.....they dont do that too well but then again thats not what they were built for.

I come on here for a common interest in the chrysler b body....

Other mopars are great to talk about but nothing does it for me like a nice b body.

Drive my 67 charger down highway 95 and people are blowing their horns and thumbs upping.

Stop at any gas station, grocery store, hell anywhere and the car gets more attention than anything.

I had a triple black 69 camaro RS, beautiful car. The attention it got doesnt hold a candle to the attention my charger gets. Maybe its the old school look? Hell I dont know.

I figure my charger only going up in the value long as I keep it maintained but I could give two shits. I love it.

Better off Dead?? ring any bells?
i want my 2 dollars!

Yeah but it was just a Camaro...LOL

Big difference between getting compliments from people and getting money. :) But I'm with you. I don't give a crap what anyone thinks my car is worth, what I've done to it, or much of anything else. I've gotten some pretty interesting offers, both cash and trade, but I've put too much work into it.

My hope is that 73-74 Roadrunners will keep losing value so I can snag another two or three before I kick the bucket. :)

I'm not driving ANY of my old Mopars on anything resembling a daily basis - more like two or three times a month each. A metric Challlenger or a Charger is something that has better performance, handling, and twice the fuel mileage of any of my old cars; so yeah, it makes sense to unload one or two old ones to get the new one...if that is what you want to do.

Getting noticed is just a pleasant side-effect of old car ownership. If you are driving a new OR old car just for the purpose of positive compliments and "getting noticed", you got other things going on that you might want to pay attention to.

The best way to do this is to have a small block A body for everyday use.
Get's good mileage, whippy zippy handling and good vibrations from the peoples.
And then have a big block B Body car for other uses.
I appreciate the thumbs up on the interstate.
I just wish they wouldn't sneak up beside me and blow the horn with my driver's window open.
Sort of startles me.
New cars?
MEH.
I think Leno says it best.

Hell cats are cool and everyone wants one . I'd take one (I wouldn't buy it though) I can think of a bunch of other cars I'd spend that money on , like a heard of old b body's to drive one for each day nothing overly fancy .I don't want to have to worry about it sitting around in a parking lot.I would even go as far and say hell cats are the most useless cars made . The big difference is the hood and that's it slap a hood on a 6cly car and you got your self a hell cat (kinda)
Old carsare where it's at I pull up in a $10000 charger and people walk away from the hell cat to check mine out and 99% of the time hang out .
It's funny people with the hell cats think there automatic car guys because they can buy the car . I'm the kinda guy that has to build the car and if someone didn't do the same they don't get the respect .(unless they physicaly can't build a car)
But I'm noticing prices of all cars going back up to lala land (1973 charger project no motor or trans lots of rust $4500 firm) there's tonslike that so don't write the old cars off yet it's just a phase like mister diesel dazzle said they will get over it in a year or two when they can't keep them on the road because of all the brake downs .
And that's why I will never be without my cool old cars

I love my GTX and the not just the vintage look - but also the ability to work on it. I'm not overly mechanically inclined and working on these old cars is relatively simple compared to the computerized modern version. There's still something to be said to have the fun on playing with something g from yesteryear.

Vintage Mopars Rule!

I'd like to own a hellcat Charger to drive. I just don't see myself ever owning one, though. I drive a POS minivan, that does everything I need on a daily basis.
