The 928 was meant to replace the 911; the 944 was introduced five years after the 928.

924 and 944, were junk. Worked on lots, during the 80's. Only thing worse, was a 914.

And Porsche people still argue whether or not the 928 was intended to replace the 911.

928 was to appeal to Americans. Front engine V8, water cooled, sports car.
