......... get'm corked, covered and the windows up tight before the mice try to move in for Winter. Then crank up the tunes to help keep them at bay!

Wouldn't be the first time, but it hasn't happened yet this year! Pouring rain.. and 5 more days of it in the forecast. Mice are on the move from outside to inside, just got one out of the traps on top of my furnace venter fan. They crawl in through the blowers and out the motor shafts.

I don't like buying NOS refills, saves the rubber if they're not jammed into the windshield. I put them up every time they get parked in the garage.

In some countries I've visited (Thailand for instance) everyone parks their cars in the day with the wipers raised. I think the hot sun and dust wreck the rubber when sitting on a hot windshield all day. It looked stupid to me but makes sense. The issue with long term storage is the pressure from the wiper arm spring bends the rubber flat against the glass and cracks the the rubber.

0411541B-960D-4066-A4FC-6C55B5A0EF6C.jpeg I catch the little buggers , I throw them out on the street. Cars flatten them out. Then the magpies peel them off the asphalt. :D

I've seen people put their wipers up when parked, so they don't stick to the windshield in snow or freezing rain.

Heck I'm just now starting to get the old cars out, finally cool enough days to enjoy them, those big ass 440's run strong in cool weather. I sure understand the mouse issue though, I have a corn field in my back yard they come in from. My shop is surrounded with outdoor bait stations full of treats for them. House is protected by two fully armed(not declawed) black cats naturally trained to kill mice.

What??? It's September, I've got at least another month or 2 before I park it!

Not bashing the plastic over the cowl but there's a huge open door into that cowl under the front fenders which I believe is where they enter. While mine was apart I noticed this as an entrance and riveted some stainless expanded metal over it. Doing absolutely nothing else I've never had a mouse get into my car.

Cars aren't parked anywhere they aren't normally, can still be driven at a moments notice. Yes there's a drain hole on each end of the cowl pans, pretty much plugged during resto on the Bee, but following the piss trails when the Bird was in the hangar for a few years the mice went down the vent slots on top and into the heater box.

Another entry point is the gap in the cat whiskers between the front and rear side glass, I tape this shut on the Bird.

Also make sure the plastic plugs are in the lower corners of the trunk extensions right behind the wheel well.

I've had good luck with the green mouse bait blocks.
I put them out each fall and have not seen a mouse since.
