It's tool time!

interesting(?) story
i do hvac. many years ago, i had to sidejob for extra cash, raising a family. one old, old lady i took care of, had aisles in her basement. i helped her clear out lots of junk. amongst the junk, were some old wood working tools. she said they were her grandfathers. she was 80. this was in 1978. so, turn of the 20th century? she insisted i take them, as payment to help her.

I bought this at a yard sale for 25 cents.
It must have a gift from a business.

black and decker single speed, single direction 'd' handle 1/4'' drill. the cord was so decrepit , i cut it off so my knuckleheads couldn't use it.

This is a vintage valve gapper tool and part of the jet kit from the man himself Dick Landy.
One of my customers invited me to his man cave near me. He had all kinds of memorabilia from drag racing.
Him and his Dad bought a new Max Wedge car and hired DL to do a track tune day at Famoso drag strip and this is the kit he used and bought from DL.
He gave it to me since he saw me checking my iron rockers one day.
Very special to me.20210623_142754.jpg 20210623_142814.jpg 20210623_142848.jpg
