John Force smacks the wall....

I know that he enjoys his racing, but it might be time for him to consider hanging up his helmet, before someone does it for him. He's contributed quite a bit to NHRA and drag racing, but it might be time for him to just sit back and reflect on it.

Agreed, like what more can he really do?

Accidents happen, but look what happened to Earnhardt because of it. Joe Amato did the right thing.

For my money, John Farce is only alert and responsive when it benefits him, when the TV cameras are rolling. Met him many years ago when he did lots of match racing and still not impressed.

Met him at the Chief Auto Parts Nationals at the Texas Motorplex years ago when my kids were young. Crummy day, rain delay. Force was hanging outside when we walked by his rig. He was really friendly, took the kids for tour of his stuff. He spent a good 20 minutes talking and showing us stuff.

As for hanging it up, a supercharger explosion not really his doing as a driver, but recovery from the event gets harder as you get older.
