Hey guys,

I figured if I wanted some good info on coronets, this would be the place to register.

I'm currently am a member on FABO and had a 69 Dart GT Convertible, but had to sell it to pay for tuition. I am starting pharmacy school in the fall and am going to need a car to commute in ( I only have an 01 Dodge Ram right now ) and have convinced my wife that an older mopar would be the way to go ( easier for me to work on, cheaper on insurance, etc. etc.).

I'm really like the looks of 67-69 Darts, Demons and 66-68 Coronets ( I admittably don't know much about coronets, were they the same body style over a larger span of time? ).

I figured, since I've been browsing through the threads on here, I might as well join and hopefully in the not too distant future have a b body of my own to have posted on here.

Thanks guys!!

Thanks guys!

Do you guys know of any good sites to get some complete info on the coronets?

I'm interested in finding more out about what engines came in them originally, what the common options were, etc. ( again, for the 66 to 68 ish range ).

Welcome tro the site from the Motor City! `66 and `67 Coronets have sharp lines and were similar to the Belvedere, Satellite and GTX. I believe they even shared the same sheet metal. You could get any engine on the menu in these cars from the /6 to the poly motors in `66 all the way up to the big inch 440 and the Hemi. In `67 you could get the Coronet R/T with either a 440 or the Hemi. Body style change in `68 (my personal favorite) rounded things off a bit and again all engines could be had depending on the trim package, base Coronet, Coronet 440(which designated a trim level not engine size) Coronet 500 and Coronet R/T, I should also mention that there were the different trim levels in `66 an `67 as well. This is very basic info and plenty of good info on this site, including pics and all you need to do is browse. Also hit up this link for more basics.

RTom welcome to the FBBO forum.

Thanks guys!

From what I've read so far, there seems to be pretty much every option under the sun availible on them. I guess the next thing would be how rare, or hard to find, would a 66-67 coronet with a slant six and a/c?

Damn a Coronet as a commuter car - never thought I would live to see THAT day!

Good luck in your search. It's a buyer's market!
