Well, I have the JW bellhousing conversion down to about 45 minutes ready for bellhousing to be bolted on.
A Matabo cut off wheel to get the factory bellhousing cut off close, then follow up with a grinder disk to smooth things out nicely!
All that's left is to bolt it onto the front pump surface.

Here are a couple pictures showing the bellhousing removed, and then a better shot of the trans finished up ready for the bellhousing.
:book1:

Ummm... Well, the other Trans was SHOT!.... No forward or reverse, and the park pawl just goes "click, click, click" when you roll it around while in "park"!
LOL......
I have been so busy lately with work and Household duties, that I just got around to picking up the new trans yesterday afternoon.
I will get the other one out of the car tomorrow, and swap the bellhousing over, valve body replaced and have it installed. Sunday should be test and tune for me... Who hoo!
How's yours coming along?

We had a death in the family, that really put a dampening on things for a week or so.Back on the grind now trying to catch up.Missed the first race of the year mopower events. Will be ready in a couple of weeks.Sorry to hear about the other trans!

Maybe a trip up north to the milan event to test out the new trans in July.If you do stop by I will be there!

I have been wanting to check out Miland.... LaRue "Marion County", and Norwalk are my home tracks..
I just fired it up with open headers and the wheels spin... Woo Hoo,,,,,,, back in business again!
I took the other trans apart, and can't see anything broken or out of place,,,, Must have messed up the pump?? I'll pull the pump sometime this week to locate the problem.

I pulled the car out under its own power with exhaust in place, car ready to test drive....

:sixpack: I am waiting for the video clip.I'm sure you didn't forget the camera!

LOL....
I took it around the block to get to my back yard for a good cleaning! down to the gas station for some snacks, and back to the driveway for the evening.
My new trans has the (stud) type tail mount, and my previous used bolts,,, so I have to get some nuts from work tomorrow to lock down the tail into its mount. I didn't take it out on any real cruise for this reason, so I "got" to wash all the cars today instead, and take care of my 2 year old little girl. She helped Daddy wash the "Beep, Beep" today while Momma went grocery shopping.

Looks like I need a new O-Ring around the dipstick tube as well,,, I noticed it dripping out onto the driveway when I parked it.... Always something,,,, just glad it's simple maintanance items now!
I need a case of Brad Penn oil for a transfusion before I get many miles on it this year too...

That didn't take you long to modify and get in the car. I hope it ends up being a solid transmission for you.

Nope,, didn't take long at all.
It seems to be working fine so far, and we took a drive down to the local Subway yesterday evening to pick up dinner...
My old trans used bolts up through the tailshaft mount into the trans. The one I got from you had studs in the housing that went down through the mount instead, so I put the 7/16th nuts on yesterday when I got home from work.
Thanks again for the trans deal! Now it's your turn to play!!!!!:jerk:

It will be next year before I get to play....the underbody is going in for surgery soon to get subframe connectors, the 4 speed hump, torque boxes and converting the firewall from AC to non AC. Then some suspension upgrades along with 4 wheel discs.....then finish the motor.

I have all the hardware for the body upgrades....I'll have to sell more parts to finish the suspension and motor.
