K Frame clear up

Need some clarification on the "round token" welded to the front of the K frame beneath the oil filter on a survivor 70 Superbird. The number 79 is stamped into it. It is a U code 440 auto car. Thanks for any info.

I believe it is the last 2 digits of the part number. The same number would be on the broadcast sheet. 3466479 is the part number, according to my info.
