Kelsey Hayes Recall Wheel- Reproduced ?

Why TF would they display it then?

Very interesting info/rumor from Coker. Question: wouldn't Goodyear tires still have been found on these wheels originally?
I'm not sure of that. I think it might depend on the assembly plant (just a guess!). All I know for sure is that all A12s had Goodyears of some variety from the factory. (Redlines or white lines).

Why TF would they display it then?
My guess? Cause they made a set as a tryout, decided they would cost too much to make, and profit margin would be too low.
But, since they had some, and they look good, why not add some Mopar interest to their display?

My friend bought two sets of them when they were reproduced by Specialty Wheels years ago. I should have bought a set back then but the weren't cheap. The ones on the grey car are 15 inch ones with trim rings and the ones on the green car are 17 inch with chrome dishes. These were around $1800.00 per set of four at the time, you could buy 15 inch chrome Magnum 500 wheels for $500.00,and 15 inch rallye wheels were about the same money. They seemed like a lot of money at the time but they were a bargain.

I called to see if there is any more info on availability, hope to hear back soon. Guy is checking and I texted him a pic of the display. He wasn’t aware of these, but is asking the wheel department. Sounds like they are on the road from the show.

Looks like dragging my feet on buying new wheels might’ve paid off!

Intimad8 or however you spell his login name has a custom set of recall wheels on his 69 Charger.
yep & 'Mike' (forget his last name) the old CNC machinist, that used to work for Boyd
on American Hot Rod show, down in Corona Ca. (IIRC)
made them custom for his car, he still does that stuff
the ones on his car are nicer than the org. Recall wheels

Spotted at MCACN. I asked the gal at the display who made them, but she was clueless...

The recall wheels still look better than the near copies to me. I think the vision one would be a lot better if it had black instead of gray.

Coker called me back, siad the wheel is a go. Will be next year is all the info I got. Nothing on size or what part of the year etc.
