Kick down rod/linkage

Looking for a kick down/throttle rod, the one that go's from the trans linkage to the carb linkage.
I have a 1974 Plymouth Satellite Sundance 440-727.....
I tried a 318-904 trans link, it will not work it seems to be 1/2 -1 inch to short.
