Naw.....don't really care all that much these days. Heck, kinda paying some attention to Indy Car now that Johnson is in it mainly to see how long it takes him to start doing well.....if he ever does.Bad news for you
He is running second as we speak in Las Vegas
If you act like Kyle does after a crash. He's always been a real sore loser after a crash and he's been fined before for it and now again. Thing is, IMO, he needs to sit out a race or two instead of NASCAR just slapping his hands. It's happened before for taking out a guy that was going for the championship in the truck series. Kyle took him out during a caution after both of them spun out AND after his crew chief kept telling him "NO KYLE DON'T DO IT" but he did it anyways. They spun mainly because Kyle didn't give up a little bit room when they ran up on a slower race truck. And Kyle wasn't even racing for points in that race!!Whate am I anss hole if I crash?
Went to a truck race at the Texas track some years back. Got a VIP ticket given to me and that was pretty cool and so was the race. Also saw a bad Top Fuel dragster crash at the Houston track lots a years go. The noise is what surprised me!Never been to a big time NASCAR event, would like to do it just to experience the spectacle of it, like going to a big concert or something. Did go to a few small town dirt track events years ago, even had a track here for a bit. It was cool. Loud. Low tech but still fast.
My lasting memory of one event was in Edmonton, Alberta. Dirt track, somewhere around ‘95 or ‘96. Nighttime. There was a tight group of cars. Dust. Suddenly in the lights a tire, rim and axel went flying straight up in the air, probably twenty feet. That is burned in my memory like a photograph, it was so cool, so dangerous.
The paper clip! I like the short track bull rings....and imo, they messed up Bristol. The drivers mostly hated it but it was always a good show.I've got turn 1 tickets for the Halloween race at Martinsville!!! Can't wait!!

Went to a couple of slot cars tracks and was surprised at how fast they were. In scale speed....probably doing 600 mph lol. Can't be on the trigger for very long unless the thing had breaking in it. Saw that first hand. Let off just before a banked turn and the dang thing almost hit the ceiling lolMeh, today’s nascar cars look like full size toy slot cars. And probably slot car racing would be for fun.
Plus, they can't have a conversation with a driver without mentioning twelve sponsors
I quit watching the NFL when Bum Phillips got fired. May have watched 10 whole games since then and mainly when I was part of a get together and that was one of the main things going on there. I'll watch the WS if the Astros or the Red Sox are in it but the Astros' cheating scandal took some wind out of that sail. NBA? Rather watch tennis and even that doesn't happen very often at all but it is kinda cool watching a player get all pissed off when they get their butt run into the ground. Now I do like to watch the Australian V8 Super boats. Boats with a roll bar!! When I first saw them I thought roll bar? Didn't take long to find out why lolI used to really look forward to the opening Daytona race. I watched every year but this year and last. I didn't watch the 2020 and 2021 races, and didn't miss it at all. Kinda sad, when looking back on that. By the same token, the World Series, Super Bowl and NBA championships have been off of my TV watching schedule for going on five years...haven't missed that, either. I find my weekends so much more productive and enjoyable without "pro" sports occupying my time!

I understand that sponsors contribute money to get their name out there, but jeez it can just be too much. They sit in front of a screen with sponsors names all over it, in a uniform with names all over it, and mention a dozen sponsors in EVERY SINGLE SENTENCE! ( insert a Sam Kinnison scream here)
It’s just too much.
