Is the Mopar expert who wrote many guides Larry Shepard still alive? Any forum members a personal friend of his?

I see his son racing a Mopar at Summit (norwalk) often... pretty sure the old boy is his pit crew. He also had an ebay store... you may be able to find still... Why do you ask?.

Different Larry Shepard. Larry Shepard in Akron, Ohio is still alive and building Mopar engines and racing with his son, but he is not the one who wrote the books.
