Just got at flyer in the mail for Up 20% off on selected items.

I live within 12 miles from there retail store. But can't order without paying shipping.

Are they just a catalog sales ??

When they were at Woodley Park for a CPW show in Van Nuys a couple of years ago, their prices were so high that 20% off wouldn't have been much off.

We do have a showroom and do over-the-counter sales.

Monday thru Friday 8:00AM until 4:30PM

3107 106th St S
Lakewood, WA, 98499
I went there last summer to buy an Item to be told I would have to pay shipping. The shipping cost put the item out of budget.

Maybe the item was not actually in stock at the shop the day you walked in, and they would need to ship it out to you?

If that was the case, you obviously were not told that.

The more I read this, the more I think there are details missing in this story.

Certainly some of the stuff is sold by Laysons but shipped from the manufacturer. Hence the shipping cost. They have a warehouse, but it is not Amazon-sized.

But why don't you just ask Rick any questions you have? They are as close as a phone call.

We simply do not have enough room in our warehouse to stock every single item we have listed in our catalog.

For some of the larger sizes of sheetmetal, there may very well be in-bound shipping charges to get the part delivered here for our customers to pick up.

HOWEVER.....if we have other customers who are needing sheetmetal, we can often combine our orders with our supplier and split up the costs to bring them in. We do what we can to keep those costs down......

But when you stop and THINK about it......the truck freight charges to make a delivery here at our warehouse are often times MUCH CHEAPER than the truck freight charges would be to a residential location.

So with just a little "careful fore-thought", a local customer needing a quantity of sheetmetal requiring truck freight could save a decent amount getting it delivered here to our warehouse as compared to having it delivered directly to their residential address.

I find it sad that you couldn't just contact Rick directly. It's not like he is unapproachable.

I'm sure he would happily help you out over having a potentially destructive thread on their Sponsor/Vendor pages.
