Hello, I did a search and found alot of broken tach related threads, but nothing on a lazy tach...
'70 Super Bee, tic toc tach, I finally got around to installing the under hood wire from wiring kit to the coil. To my surprise the tach sprang to life when I started to motor. It jumped up to about 2000 RPM then settled to 1200 RMP once the engine warmed up (I don't think the engine is idling that high), I went out for a cruise and noticed the tach seems to advance pretty smooth, but as I go through the gears it will get up to 4000-4500 and not drop much between shifts. At 60 MPH (3:23 gears) it shows about 4000 RPM. Rebuild time? Any fixes?
Thanks in advance.
