65 belvedere drivers side lower control arm installed fine with strut rod and torsion bar

However passager side when I slide on lca and strut rod it's like my rod is to long.. see picture I can also take up the slack by tightening the heck out of the pivot shaft nut but drivers slide right up to the collar and it finger tighten just fine

The picture is where I slid in lca and strut rod I can barely even put the nut on without the collar. Any help appreciated

So are you saying the pivot shaft doesn't go all the way through the k-frame or are you saying the lca isn't going onto the pivot shaft all the way?

Looks to me pivot shaft isn't pressed all the way into lower control arm bushing.

thanks for the replies I'm saying the lca wont slide in up to the collar in the k frame with the strut rod in place. the shaft is pressed on all the way to inner bushing shoulder to shoulder

i guess i need to measure length of both shafts in the bushings then i guess maybe the moog strut rod bushings could be the culprit. this car had the original strut rod bushings that were all torn up...

I'd put them side by side and see what's different.
After looking at other pictures pivot shaft is in far enough.

The bushing goes on the shaft first and then the bushing is pressed into the LCA by it's collar.
