LCA pivot shaft

What I've read is only poly bushings need grease. Rubber and delrin don't.

Haven't used them yet, but I have the greaseable shafts with the Delrin bushings. Bought them from Firm Feel.

I put the greaseable LCA pivot shafts on the Convertible with the Poly bushings. Really not sure if it is any better than just using the factory solid pivots? Don't have that many miles to know it they are worth it as the original soild ones on the Charger have been fine for 30 years.

I put the greaseable shafts with Delrin bushings also. Greased them on install, have not since. But only about 2500 miles on them at best. I figure when I get around 10-15000 thousand miles on them I give it a shot or two of grease.

Thanks for the replies. Loose upper and lower ball joint boots were the original reason for disassembly. But once that far in I decided to replace the 18 year old PST poly UCA and LCA bushings. Remarkably the old PST polys were in great shape. After pulling the pivot shaft I notice the inner sleeve that remained on the pivot was worn and the inner diameter of the poly was rough. So…I’m going back together with new greaseable Mancini pivots that have new inner sleeves installed and a prothane poly bushing that has a splined inner diameter for lubricant. This isn’t original but seems to be a good modification. By the way the Mancini pulling/installing tools work great.

I put greaseable PST shafts in my Road Runner in 2015. I have driven it across country, on the Hot Rod Power Tour, and more - this car does not get babied! The LCA pivot shafts take a lot of abuse, so that's the one place I really wanted poly bushings. So far mine have held up well, so I recommend them.

How often do you grease them?

I have greased them twice in the 10 years they have been on the car. I can't say it is obvious to me when they need greasing - they just got greased because I was under the car and greasing joints.
