Does anyone know thr thickness of the plates?
Or
That would be great! Yes I want to make my own. Steel is virtually free for me.Just ordered a set from PST today and will have them in a few days. I can mic them them for you if you don't purchase a set.
Thank's man. Yeah I wasn't gonna go over board, just dave myself some money. These car consume so much $ as it is..120 is a common size, barely less than 1/8" thick but is overkill. No, they do not need to be as thick as the other sections of the control arm. .090 works and obviously is easier to cut and weld. The thicker you go, the more weight you add for no appreciable benefit.
To prove my theory, 3/8" shear plywood over a 2x6 wall provides enormous torsional stiffness.
