Leaf springs

OP - You need to figure out what you have. Between the two different spring lengths, and all the different front hangers, there are probably a dozen different combinations.

We’re the front hangers on the car when you got it?

If the springs are heavily arched, or in this example also pulled ahead, the shackle can flip to the front and REALLY jack it up. My car does it maybe 50% of the time when you get it off the ground.
Assuming the rear hanger is 4" tall, if what you say happens, it only lengthens the hanger height wise if it is pointed straight down, and that is maybe an inch, and since the leaf hard pivots 50"? away, at the axle that is less than 1/2" at the axle of rise, not much, but I can't believe anyone would drive a car that does that.
You mean that it shortens the leaf making it over arched?
What the heck happens it one side only "snaps back" while driving?
What gives?
