The Time I was Accused of Stalking Lesley Gore:
In the 90s Kerry & me got invited to a private Chamber of Commerce party held after hours at a mall in Silverdale, WA. The musical performer was...Lesley Gore! I ran a record store at the time and brought a few records to hopefully get her to autograph. We sat off to the side near the a set of stage stairs and listened to a few songs. I asked one of the mall security dudes if Ms Gore would be exiting from this side of the stage. He flatly asked "why". I said I was a fan and wanted autographs etc. The dude went over to the head goon, who looked over to me and slowly and authoritatively shook his head no. Dude comes back to me and says "Ms Gore does NOT give autographs". We walked to the other side of the stage and watched her some more when 2 guards came up and stood RIGHT behind us. I leaned back and said "Do I pose a threat" but they just stared and nodded, and followed us around the rest of the night. JEEZ IT'S LESLEY GORE NOT FRIGGIN ELVIS DUDES. Later that night I saw some drunk guy waving a freshly autographed album, and a couple years later she returned to perform in Bremerton and Kerry's mom got her to autograph a CD to me....
