Lights and Volt Gauge Dance right off of idle?

I had to replace the battery in the Charger.
Replaced it now I have a Gauge and lighs that dance off idle or when a rev.
Checked all connections and all ok
I put a used regulator my Dad had laying aound and is the same
I don't know the regulator I tried was good
Any direction please
I replaced the battery with a Mopar 800 cca

replace the regulator with a new one. They make an electronic version that looks like points style...I think Auto Zone carries them

It does have a points style regulator
Does anyone recomend a stock appearing one for electronic?

All good now
went and bought the autozone electric regulator #vr706 swapped the cover with the original and everything is good.
