Linna Cruising Event- 2014, Hämeenlinna, Finland

HI all,

Well yep another show, and a BIG ONE! Interesting location, it was held at a race track circuit. SO the cars were lined up and around the track. Cool idea, you could cruise the track and see the cars. But most of us walked around it.

A few great Mopars as always.

Another great Fine land show. I would have had to say something to the nutless sack in the leather vest with the rock and roll patch holding is ol' lady's purse. Wtf! Lol

ON a BAD note.. I only just found out about this:

A family I know has this Hot Rod:

As you can see it has a 'Dickie seat' (is that Rumble seat for you US peeps?)

Anyway they just posted this (in Finnish, but I translated it for you all) on Facebook.

So this is what ******** did to our car at the Linna-Cruising yesterday. And we weren't the only ones that got targeted by this person. If someone has seen this tosser please be kind and contact us or be in direct contact with the Hämeenlinna police. At least from us we are willing to offer a reward for any information regarding
this person/people. It would be nice to meet this so-called ********! FEEL FREE TO SHARE!

Whoever did this should be thrashed.

As you can see from my top photo, this car is in IMMACULATE condition. And it's folks like that (and the rest of us) that put in the time and effort to make our cars as good as we can, AND THEN, actually DRIVE them so others can enjoy too. Things like this are very RARE over here in Finland, but this is the beginning I can sense it.

LOL, there is (as you can see) a HUGE Rock 'n Roll 50's thing here! It's kind of cool, girls all want to be photographed so I am not complaining.

Great to see so many fine cars in the great land of the Fins! Not that I would ever sell mine in this lifetime, but do you get more $$ for them in Europe than in the U.S.? I've always been curious about that.

We have the same rock a billy scene here. It looks the same there as it does here. Its just the little differences that separate us.
Thats really messed up about the rumble seat. Better than getting the paint keyed or something like that but still uncool. I cant say in all my years I have seen anything like that at a car show. There is usually too many eyes around and someone would see it happen. You would be as dead as fried chicken if caught.

Thanks for posting, lot's of cool rides and other attractions. One thing I've noticed about your pics from shows, most of the crowd is younger, look to be in their late 20's to late 30's. The crowds at the shows around here seem to run in the late 30's on up, with a large portion in the 50+ range.Maybe you all are enjoying a better quality of life over there, at an earlier age.......

That's a good observation. ALthough, maybe it's the Nordic lifestlye, but I know for sure there are many 40+ people in the scene over here. I am one of many! ;)
