I think it looks sweet, seems like a pretty good price for this model...

Looks nice. All that slick orange paint and the engine compartment is black. I honestly don't know what these years go for.

Besides being an undesirable 74 Satellite, this car is nothing but a polished turd. Look closely and check out the masking job in the trunk gutter, bodywork dust on the trunk floor, and whatever that is that's hanging near the left trunk hinge....

Painted hood latch, spring & wiring & hood pin bolts. Missing all but one hood bumper. ....

Painted over the door latch (in the jamb as well), screws, dome light switch, inside of the weatherstrip. No door bumpers......

More overspray under the hood and bodywork dust on top of the cowl. Love that upper radiator hose and why is he running an electric fuel pump? Red heater hoses that are painted black, overspray on washer bottle, some Mickey Mouse wiring, but at least it's got a nice shiny chrome air cleaner, valve covers, master cylinder cover and fan shroud.

I could go on, but you get the picture. This thing is just an overpriced POS, but if an undesirable 1974 polished turd is your style, then go for it.

that engine bay is a flipping MESS
I can only imagine what is hiding under that paint . that's a 7000 car at best

Good eye !

I’m asking $11,500 for mine and having trouble getting that. These years just aren’t worth much, but a great starter car without spending a fortune.

Good eye !

Yes and no. I consider having a good eye as looking at the bodywork to see how good of a job was done & to be able pick our waves and bad body lines. Many, like the OP, will look only at a shiny paint job and think the car is nice, but in reality, you have to look past the shinola to see the "other things" which are all in plain site. By looking at what wasn't masked off, I guaran-damn-tee that if you were to look at that car in person, the quality of the paint and the bodywork would be sub-par. That thing has Earl Scheib written all over it.

Youre absolutely right. I meant, catching all those flaws from pics shows you have a good eye for detail.

This reminds me of some of the 78/79 aspen adds I've seen lately. Guys are asking 12-17k for Aspens.

There's no way that a 74 Satellite is worth 19 large, no matter what's been done to it.
A 73 Satellite 400 car sold at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale last year for $25,300. There is one 74 Roadrunner this year, will be interesting to see what it sells for at Scottsdale.

I actually like the 73'/74' body styles but wouldn't buy one at that price.
