So-o-o-o...Laura and I jumped in Sabrina and headed to Owosso('bout 20 miles west of us) for dinner and a cruise night at the local Big Boy restaurant. Well...got out there, and no Cruise Night. No problem...there's another cruise in Clio at a bar there. But;that's about 40 miles away from Owosso. No problem,we head to "Joe's Garage",where the napkins are actual shop rags(not used,of course) and the food was yummy. Oh,there were some cars, but we had the only Mopar in the lot. You've seen her,so here's the others:
More this weekend;I plan on hitting a couple of shows and cruises before my "vacation" is up and it's back to the salt mines...
Heres a link to some photos I took at a small local cruise in at the Chik-Fil-A in Sterling, Virginia on Friday evening. The 68 Super Bee was on its first outing after being restored. I had never seen it or the owner before. The nice 68 Coronet 500 with factory 383 and 4 speed was another one I had never seen before, and that one is for sale.
Holyshiznit there are some nice cars in that area, the show at the museum looked like a great time thats cool how they let ya'll park around the aircraft. Thanks for shairing.
What do you do on a Sunday, with the temp hitting 96 degrees? Walk the pavement at a car show! Small town, big show, quality cars. Oh;since it's at a lake, they were hot ladies as well. Sorry;no pics of them-most were attached to something large(-r than me!).
Nice little show today supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. A helluva a good cause,so I had to go. Hell,it was near 90 when I went, but the S.F never got over 180-185 there or on the way back. I like that.
There were some Mopars!
Some of the area's faster street rats showed up. Flint may be a broke-dick area, but they still build some serious hardware. BIG mills,LOTS of nitrous, and gutted cars rule around here. A lot of these guys run Milan Dragway's No ET and Heads-Up series. You had better be fast to do that.
