How in the hell did they take guns away from every one in Australia, of all places????

I do have a CCP and I would have unloaded on those two idiots.

"How to stop a massacre" is pretty misleading. "How to stop a robbery" is appropriate. If this is in reference to the shooting in the theater, one armed grandpa would not have stopped a guy with body armor throwing smoke grenades and firing into a packed dark confined space. Just sayin'.
Practice practice practice......and not just body shots....head shots too.

Remember New Orleans and what happened there right after the 'hurricane'? 'They' cleaned out the town of all weapons and most (if not all) never got them back. If they can 'clean out' a town like NO, they can do the whole freakin nation......our military will do it with orders. They may not like those orders but anyone that's been in the military also doesn't like the end results when you disobey an order. I just hope if an order is ever put out like that, the majority will disobey it.

Depends on how you define "take away" -- guns are allowed, but people can turn in unwanted/unneeded/illegal ones during "amnesty" periods and there's not the self-defense mania that the USA has:

Before someone can buy a firearm, he or she must obtain a Permit To Acquire. The first permit has a mandatory 28-day delay before it is first issued. In some states (e.g., Queensland, Victoria, and New South Wales), this is waived for second and subsequent firearms of the same class. For each firearm a "Genuine Reason" must be given, relating to pest control, hunting, target shooting, or collecting. Self-defense is not accepted as a reason for issuing a license, even though it may be legal under certain circumstances to use a legally held firearm for self-defense.
