Not limiting to just Mopars. The Ford article made me think of the Crown Vic. That car must be the king of high mileage durability. I know plenty of Ford trucks are still on the road from the 60's but I don't think they were driven every day. Dodge Mini Vans maybe?

Off topic. I was just watching Clear and Present Danger with Harrison Ford. I like Tom Clancy stuff. Jack Ryan is getting of a plane in Columbia and there is a 1965 Plymouth Satellite (or something similar) taxi cab at the curb. A 1974 Duster gets rammed by a motorcade.

my 95 & 98 2500 Power Ram 4x4 12 valve 5.9 Cummins
both made it to 350k miles, when I sold each of them
they still ran & drove great too, just regular upkeep
after I did the mods...

I've had my 99 Dakota SLT 4x4 for just short of 20 years now
only minor repairs, a couple sensors a speed sensor & ABS sensor
it does only have 58k miles, has a bunch of bolt on
-- performance goodies too

I really like that little truck

My record is 485k on original drive train
Until it lost reverse and first slipped too much
i was pissed i wanted 500k
In a 95 gmc jimmy vortex v6
That engine never burned a drop of oil
it was a little gas pig or i would of still owned it today
i just sold it
i hauled many mopar parts many many miles in it

My 95 Yardcart is still kicking but it starting pissing fluids from all it's orifices......not bad yet but I'm sure it'll get worse.

I bet it's a Honda 1.6L. I was at Car Craft Street Machine Nationals MANY years ago & they had a Civic in the center of a coral with all the oil drained out of it & put a cinder block on the gas pedal. The idea was to blow up an import. After about 15 minutes of the engine running without any oil, floored in neutral, it was just sad....and I left.

I had a 73 suburban 3/4 ton that went 387,000....
