Does anybody have a '70 Charger Rallye Dash instrument panel they can take a good photo of the back side (or already have a photo), identifying the fastener locations? It would sure make locating the various mounting bolts easier to find if you know whereabouts they are. Thanks.

Hey brother just to be sure, you want a pic of the back of a 70 rally dash? I have on in the shop if we’re talking the same thing unless others beat me to the pic

Here's a few. I'm sure this will at least partially help:

Awesome, thanks. Not including connectors, how many fasteners bolt the instrument cluster into the dash from the back side? From what I can see, there are 2 nuts and 1 screw...

Yes, I want to pull mine out from the front (not the whole dash because I had a new windshield installed). Just want to have a good idea how many nuts or bolts I need to remove and where they are located to help with the removal. The service manual doesn't provide that real-world info.

If I'm following you correctly, there are a handful of long coarse thread black screws seen on the faceplate. They actually tighten to the housing, that hold the assembly in place to the dash frame. Remove the screws. (And maybe the ash tray; I can't remember this second.) You may want to drop the steering column a few inches by loosening two captive washered nuts under the column. The entire gauge assembly will pull outward a bit. Then to fully access it, you will have to remove the wiring and speedo cable. The unit will come out as one piece.

Follow the yellow lines in the picture. That's the 5 (?) screw locations that hold the entire assembly in place.

Beautiful, that's perfect! Thank you. I want to pull out the instrument panel to inspect the wiring and bulbs. I didn't think it could be done only by removing the exterior faceplate screws, I thought you had to unbolt it from the inside.
