looking for my car

Trying to find a roadrunner I owned in 1976. Have done a title search and got a little info, but it turns out it has not been titled in quite awhile. Last person to title gave me a few leads but all have gone cold. Anybody got any ideas or resources for tracking down this car??? Thanks

You may have already thought of this but check with your local dmv (BMW) department motor vehicles. They usually have investigators. If you can get them to help and have the vin number of the car, they should be able to run the vin and see last registered to. Unless of course the dump their old files quick. It also may cost to run?? Good luck.

Oh yeah that will work if car is still in state. If it is out of your state, that will be quite a bit tougher..

It would help if you could put more info in on it. Like where you sold it ,where it went, and a vin# ?

Traded it in at Clasen Morse Chevrolet in Overland Park KS. They sold it to a couple in Fontana KS, who sold it to an unknown individual in Paola KS. The folks who lived in Fontana still have the title and have moved from the area, but I tracked them down. The Car was a dark green 383 4 speed. VIN RM23H9G164799.
