Looking to help out a friend just moved to OR...

A friend of mine just moved from IL to the Medford area in OR. He has sold off his Monte's, now he is looking to get into an A or B body driver in his new home. He sent me some ads of cars he's looking at, i wondered if anyone would be willing to offer thoughts, advice etc. (there's only so much i can do for him from VT) and since i know we have several members up there maybe someone can help...

He sent me 3 ads in particular, 2 kind of concern me, but one looks pretty good...

Even better, does anyone actually know any of these? Or, if you have a better option to suggest... any help is MUCH appreciated. He pretty much needs a driver without too many major issues, not a project. Thanks again...

To be honest, if the first one (black Cordoba) worked out, for $500, I'd go ahead and buy the the other cordoba for parts later on. The price is right.

I like number one it runs,number 2 is a 4 door,3 doesnt start. can your friend work on cars. What does he really want? Does he need one now? The questions could go on and on. Hope he finds what he wants.

I'd also buy 1&3 if the Mrs would let him. I'd also recommend trying to jumpstart the 3rd one to see if it does indeed run.

I'd be cautious of a car advertised as needing a tune up and especially adding timing needs adjusting. How would one know unless having checked it and then...well not adjusting it since you're that far along already? This is simple stuff to sell it running decent...if that's all it is. Unless say the timing chain/gear needs to be replaced!
