Theres one way you could test your ignition but you may need a little help, you'll need a 12 volt test light, ground one end and put the other on the + side of your coil. when you turn the key on it should light up, when you turn it to the crank position it should get brighter as its getting more voltage to start the car. This should, tell you if the ignition switch itself is good or bad. Hope this helps some. Good luck.
