Lynch Road Assembly Line Production Explained

Love the article. I believe the fender tags were not bent at Lynch rd. and were hung from the mirror area on the body. Most Lynch Rd. tags aren't bent on the corner for this reason. Very informative article though and really enjoyed reading through it.

Glad you found this informative! The article did mention the hanging of the fender tags from the mirror at other plants so you're right on that. The fender tags were like build sheets I guess in that they were handled differently at different plants such as the LA plant excluding them from cars.

The fender tag would be on every mopar built no matter the plant it was built at. The LA cars had a different font on the fender tag but still included them. Some plants did not include build sheets in the cars, but the fender tag would be on every car.

Oh yeah, sorry if the fender tag bit was confusing as they are on every car, but handled differently going down the line, whereas the sheets could be left out on an LA build ride.

Thanks for the article with great info on how it was painted.hopefully we can do the same
