I would like to add A/C to my 72 Satellite and am debating between a 2V belt setup with an SD7H15 compressor or try to run all accessories off of a magnum to get the same compressor for less, higher capacity alternator and a serpentine setup. I am not planning to run a Magnum timing cover to retain the mechanical fuel pump. Has anyone run a reverse rotation fan and water pump on the LA timing cover to make this kind of set up work?

(So we don't get hung up on this, I do know the magnum cover has additional mounting bosses for the compressor. I will have to come up with some work around bracketry. Also I don't have garage space for a magnum swap at the moment)

FWIW, I currently have three cars running a Sanden compressor with a single 3/8" V-belt and I've seen many others.

Sanden, has a hd version that you can get either pulley system. The new clutch has a fuse built in to save the compressor invade of problems. But you have to get the had model from truck.

Do you happen to know a Sanden PN or OEM application for a 2 groove pulley compressor?

Sanden sd 508 dual v grooves. Should be able to get it at vintage air. Freightliner has them also have the serpentine style also. Just ask for hd model.

The LA lacks the required mounting bosses and 1bolt hole is on the passenger side cylinder head, the drivers has a lack of a couple of bolt holes for P/S FWIW. Unless you move to a Trick Flow head, the conversion won't work.
