i just made a couple of changes to my car, i pulled the 456 dana out and put in a 410 and got the complete calvert caltrac system with mono leafs and rancho 9 way ajustable shocks, i ran 771 week before with ss springs and a snubber. i ran 777 with the new set up but the 60 ft is consisent however theres no real rise in the front end as per calvert instructions, so im going to install tubular control arms and the 90 10 calvert front shocks and get more front end travel and caster for better 60 ft times and top end handling.. any suggestions or experience out there with this set up? im looking for 760 ets so i can run the 12.00 nss class

Whats the rest of the front end like? Have you already ditched any sway bars? What was the original rear end gear? What converter? What tire? Whats it weigh? Have you scaled it?

it got an all new front end minus sway bar, it had a 456 gear and it revs too high for the 1/4 mile, i run a 255/60/15 mt et streets it has a8 inch ptc converter that stalls 4800 its roughly 3500 lbs but have not put it on the scales yet, i also had comp eng front drag shocks set loose to rise quick but it dont have enough travel

i also have the direct connection drag race torsion bars on it

Here's my .02 for what it's worth. The front end should have enough travel if it's a stock style setup without going to tubular arms. Having said that, the tubular arms should free up the movement some. This is generally the issue with stock components, they bind and are stiff. Imo, the calvert shocks won't gain you anything over the comp eng shocks but a strange double adjustable will get you full control over the front. The other issue is most likely the rear. What spring are you running and what shock with the caltracs?

My bad, monos with 9-ways. Go to a double adjustable as well. The mickeys tend to get loose if you shock them too hard but it sounds like your issue is not getting up on the tire. Scaling would really help.

i got the calvert in the top hole and it hits the tires hard but the front end isnt loose enough for my liking so ill keep plugging away at it im gonna give the calverts a good chance to work its only the first weekend ive tried em and if i cant get it ill look into what ur suggesting hemirunner, thanks for ur input!
