Mail order ammunition

Talked to an indoor range I goto to see how busy they were, and they said the same thing, no ammo, really slow.
I have bought a bunch from cheaperthandirt.com, but their stock rotates quite a bit depending where they are buying from.
Haven't orderd in a few years, still have over 1,000+ rounds for each of the weapons I own.

I've been stocking up on shotgun loads as that seems to be available, bucks a little harder to find. I shouldn't complain at $10 @ box of 25 BB loads, it's still going to give someone a bad day getting hit with that!

Just got a link/tip from Gun Digest on-line for some 5:56 X 45 62 grain Green Tip Penetrator for 109.00 for a box of 200 made by Winchester, my preferred ammo by the way from Palmetto State Armory. Jumped on it and order went through. Couple of hours later and an update from Gun Digest that they are all sold out and now on back-ordered. The 62 grain I prefer over the 55 grain as it packs a better punch. Now I have well over 6000 plus rounds, estimated, either loose or in 10, 20, 30 round mags. Not to mention 308mm/7:62 X 51, 38 SP, 45 LC, 45 ACP, 22 Short, Long, Long Rifle, and 22 MAG, 20, 16, 12, and 410 Shot Gun in 1 3/4 Shorties, 2 3/4, and 3 inch 12 Gauge so me thinks I will be OK God forbid any of the SHTF scenarios do take place. Where I live I have BLM land right out my front door literally steps anyway and all of us like minded sorts up here, do hold the high ground so we do have a distinct advantage when it comes to defenses. Hope it never comes about, but one in today's World needs to be well prepared and vigilant.
