So, I have a 79 360 out of a Dodge pickup to go in my 65 Belvedere wagon. I'm doing a little cleaning up to make it look decent under the hood. I have a spare timing cover from a 75 Dart 318. I figure I'll clean it up and paint it all pretty like. Are the crank seals the same for both or was there a change somewhere from the factory?

Thank you in advance.

Yes, as long as there both LA engines. 440'

The front of all LA oil pans are the same. Rear is different between 318/340 and 360.

Thanks Doug for the correction!
Maybe it was the LA /magnum where there's issues

Ok so I can use the 318 timing cover on a 360? Front crank is the same for all 70s LAs?

I just looked up the fel pro listing, and the front timing gasket set is the same for 318/360.
Are the actual covers identical? I don't know.
