McDonald's Corporate BS

I can’t wait to try a digital Dr Pepper! Probably all he flavor and no calories!

My last soda ever was 11/7/19, I quit cold turkey. I keep a Diet Dr Pepper in the refrigerator to test my will power, so far, it's holding up.
I would still like the option of refilling my ice water myself if ever finding myself in a McDonalds, I don't think I am alone, but maybe.
I gave soda up way back in 1999. I used to consume Pepsi Caffeine Free Diet Soda like 5-6 cans a day. It started way back when I was a kid growing up, as Mom would buy and drink Diet Rite Cola, so I was raised on drinking it. Not a fan of the others out there, so Pepsi was it. I do on a very rare occasion...and I do mean rare... pick up a Diet Pepsi, as sometimes I like what I call a "Burper" drink. But very few and far between. Mostly water and a sparkling H2O infused with fresh Mandarin Orange Juice, with my Vodka in the evening. I do have some Beer in the garage fridge that is there for those who want one when they visit me, and I will toss one down on a hot day after being outside and doing chores, as there isn't anything better than a cold frosty brew on a hot day. Other than that, I stick to the H2O. I used to hit Mickey D's when I was on the road for their Sausage Egg Burritos for breakfast, but that was about it for any fast food for me. Haven't stopped at one in years, let alone the others. cr8crshr/Bill :usflag: :usflag: :usflag:

It's not a Meal
It's not Ready
It's not Edible

Robin Williams suggested eating Raisin Bran High Fiber cereals while sitting on the commode.:luvplace:

In the years since Culver’s moved into my area from Wisconsin, I rarely ever go to McDonald’s anymore.
Everything about Culver’s food and service is better than McDonald’s. Some items like the Culver’s fish sandwich is in an entirely different universe than McDonalds reheated frozen fish stick gruel.
I’ll stop in McDonald’s once a year when the McRib is available. I’m not sure why, sort of a get it while you can mentality overrules the fact they aren’t very good either!

I think we are getting to that McRib time of year too. I basically just like McD for some of the breakfast options, love me a sausage biscuit or egg McMuffin with sausage but I think in the last 5 or so years I mayyyyybe get it 4 times a year.
I used to be a Diet Coke fiend, for around 6 years I worked at a company with all free soda and I knocked them back nonstop. Then I moved to a company where it wasn’t free and also actively tried to be healthier and drink much more water, weirdly one day I just didn’t have the same desire for Diet Coke anymore, even went a few years with none. More recently I’ve gone to where I’ll occasionally have one, but the odds of me even finishing the can are slim.

I'm a believer that diet soda (or anything with fake sugar) leads to diabetes.

If you see someone come at you with a knife, your brain controls your body to shoot some adrenalin so you can "fight or flight". I believe that similarly, when you taste sweet, your body injects insulin to help break down the sugar. But if the sweet taste is from chemicals, now insulin is hanging around your body with no sugar to work on, and this leads to insulin resistance.

I pretty much won't eat or drink anything with artificial sweeteners.

I ate those way back in the day.

They were okay. It was better than starving.
Have you eaten one within the last 10 years? Got a couple that was handed out after a hurricane went through and well, it wasn't ok lol

Never drank diet coke or any other diet soda but do use sweetener in my tea and very rarely will have a soda. Was using Stevia but the wife buys the 'regular' fake sweeteners. I drink very little tea but she's a tea freak lol. So far so good and she's 73.
