McDonald's Corporate BS

MRE’s, never tried, we were on C-rats(some from Korean War!)Don’t even ask about the Lima beans, THE worst ever meal made.
On a lighter note, a ball of C4 about the size of a ping-pong ball when lit under a can of C-rats will have it hot before long.(don’t breathe the fumes tho!).

Dual drive thru lanes always full but nobody inside.
I went in to order and they had to get someone to take my order.
They removed the ordering kiosks also.
Times are Changing. I remember when McD did not even have indoor seating, just walk- up windows with tables outside.
Used to be a Carl's Malt and Burger near the high school I attended and when I got my license to drive, I stopped in. They had walk up and order window too and were good. They are long gone and an Italian restaurant sits on the site now but there is one other place called Champ Burger that still has the walk up and order window and they are dang good. They are 10-12 miles away though.

I wonder sometimes whether they were really that good, being I suspect our taste buds/sense of smell have likely started to wear out, meaning it's not a fair comparison, as much as I agree with you.

I dunno man....I still like going to the same restaurants that I've been going to for a lot of years now. Cashews still taste the same too. Dad introduced me to those when we went to a Sears store and they had that 'snack' counter near the tool section lol. They taste even better when warmed up like they were at the store.

I have been "trespassed" at a Clewiston McDonalds 12 years ago, as I complained to the cashier that the side entrance door for the public cannot be locked during normal hours and there were a number of HS teenagers inside, oblivious to the potential danger the locked door caused. It was locked just after I walked in. The Cashier said it "was their" policy. I said I don't care what their policy is, unlock it or I will call the police. I sat back down to finish my Ice Cream. Within two minutes the manager returned and unlocked the door with her back to me reaching up to the above head height deadbolt. I snapped a pic of her reaching the lock, and you would have thought I had pissed on the table from the negative reaction I got from the counter staff, they screamed at me to erase the pic. I ignored them.
Two minutes later a LEO tapped me on my shoulder asked me to step outside and told me I was not permitted to tell McDonalds' how to run their restaurant and was given a lifetime No Trespass citation at that location.:wtf:
Thanks, I lost 10lbs and likely saved hundreds of dollars since.
BTW, every Fire Chief in Florida will tell you it's illegal to deadbolt lock any public entrance for any reason during normal business hours no matter what company policy is.

I usually go to Tims, but Shirley likes McDonalds. So we were there this morning. Never the drive thru. Last time we were there was about 6 weeks ago. Just the breakfast bagel thing, never the burgers.

Here in the midwest we Have Culvers. They are out of Wisconsin and have put class back in fast food burger joints.

They have frozen custard too. Today's flavor was Snickers Swirl.

Fast food and class, is an oxymoron. Culver's is still fast-food. No thank you. They aren't very busy in our area. Only McDonalds and Taco Bell are busy [certain demographics go there]. It seems that thankfully, all fast food places are starting to struggle a bit. All the sit-down/local-based eateries are jammed.

BC/CC was just another ploy be manufactures. They told us it was better they raised their prices because it’s ”better”. Boils down to it cheaper, because they don’t have to apply as much color, there for they don’t need to buy as much color.

Culvers was great 30 years ago. It was more expensive, but far superior to other fast food joints in quality, staff, and cleanliness. When you went in there, there was always a person walking around with a spray bottle and cleaning rag keeping the place clean. Now? Nope. It's hard to find a clean table to sit at. The staffing/service and cleanliness has gone way down hill as they've gotten bigger. Now it's just an over priced place that's no better than the other fast food places. They screw up your order like everyone else. Mostly because adequately competent help is hard to find. More and more, I'm really only happy if we eat at home. Most restaurants of any kind just suck, anymore.
