We lost our waterfront Fort Lauderdale condo in Katrina!......
Mainly just strong winds since yesterday and right now in Fort Myers it's been pouring for the last hour and looks like it will last another.

In '04, I had all four hurricanes pass within 5 miles of my house.

3 of them within 2 miles.

Lost 2/3 of a triple split trunk tree with a 3 foot stump and 120 feet tall trunks.

First trunk took the last 6 inches of gutter of my screen porch---WHEW!

Cut the last one down myself as soon as the clouds cleared and the first two trunks were cut up and carted to the curb. THAT was fun!

I have a radar image like the one I posted, of Charlie with the eye smack on top of me, captured right before the power went out, not to come back on for a week.

That hangs on the fridge, where you can see both that and the stump of that tree.
