Well today I went and looked at a paint booth to do some changes to the lighting he has in the booth. Everything plugs in with cords.. Anyhow he had a 440 on an engine stand in his show room.. He said yup thats a 440. Then decided he wanted to quiz me on it. He asked me what the build date of the engine was. So naturally I go to look at the stamp pad in front of the intake.. He says to me.. Thats not the build date, its cast into the side of the block... I told him Umm thats the date and time they cast the block. It was a T440 E I believe it was a 72 440 from a truck. Either way it was a low compression engine. Then I asked him. How could they build the engine the same day they cast the block.. LOL I mean sure they could but would that be reliable? Anyhow I sure hope he was messing with me.
