No it's not the punchline to a bad joke.

I've seen pictures showing the Belvedere built for the Mexican market so the speedometer should be in kilometers. The speedo in mine bounces pretty bad and being in Canada one on Km's would be nice to have but I'm not sure how to even find one.

Any ideas?

You can search ebay or craigs in different countries and see if you get lucky that way
I see oddball stuff like that for sale every once in a while..

You could try contacting these guys;

Ask if they will do a 'kilometer' face for your car

Kiwi has it. The face is the only difference, have one made. New speedo won't likely solve the bouncing - but a new cable will.

The built for Canada cars didn't come with a metric speedo?

Canada didn't go metric until 1976.

The cable isn't noisy but the needle wavers up and down about 5mph I assumed it was the speedo itself.

I'll send that company an email.

I'm betting HT413 is correct. It's "usually" the cable itself hanging up a little bit that causes the speedometers to bounce around. You could try some graphite or maybe white lithium grease inside the cable housing??? Pull out the cable, lubricate it & re-install.... I "think" you can pull the cable out one end. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

yes the cable will come out on one end only and
it's the end connected to the speedo

The mechanical part of the speedometer will be the same - it's the readout face that changes.
Only the way in which speed is measured changes. Your speed doesn't alter just because you're in a metric country...only the way we understand it and measure it does.
I'll bet your 16 ounces of butter would weigh exactly one pound here in New Zealand.

Didn't the GTX come with a 150 clock?? See where this is going......? Thing is, 200 clicks is 120+ mph, right?

The link for white face gauges currently does not have an overlay for a 67' Plymouth in Km's

I've lubed the cable before but that doesn't mean anything. Might just be time for a new one.

It would still be nice to have it in Km's and as mentioned would have a unique factor as well seeing the big numbers.

I understand that these are calibrated just where the wall between the US and Mexico ends. Probably pretty accurate I'd think!

I live in a city infested with photo radar. Pretty much very major intersection had cameras at the light and they hide on over passes behind trees etc. They even have a mobile utility box they put out. Speed limits of 50, 60, 70. 80 etc plus construction zones and school zones its gets to be PITA trying to ensure I don;t get nice pictures of the car from the city.
