Mini Cooper vs Coyote

Hit a confused Coyote Friday night, (didn't know to keep going straight or go back) Needless to say, I clip the bugger with the passenger side air dam. Didnt do much damage, visually that is, Knocked the fog light out and stressed the paint.

Took it the the body shop to find out what it will cost to repair today since it is my girlfriends car. Well the whole radiator brace is plastic, which is the molded to fit the fog lights, they have to replace the whole thing, and replace the front bumper facial for a grand total of $1.894.76.

So much for saving money driving her car to Tulsa.
Not liking Coyotes right now.

Figure it cheaper in the long run to just pay out of pocket. It all I need is my rates on all my cars and motorcycles to go up.

That really sucks...we got alot of deer here...Put on ARB bumpers on my 05 chevy and the wifes landcruiser wagon...I have hit two and she,s got one...Thanks to the aussie,s for their kangaroo tested bumpers!!!No damage at all!!

That sucks. It's amazing how body damage that you can barely see can cost $1800.00 but I've seen it before.

Insurance, what a scam. It's too bad to think it would be better to pay out of pocket than to have them help you after all the money you are forced to give them for nothing..... Good luck with the repairs and be glad it wasn't any worse than that.

You can put Deer Whistle's on the front of your vehicle some were to warn them your coming from a distance, they are stupid but have good hearing & freeze in your headlights at night... You can't hear the noise it's kind of like a dog whistle in that way, it may even work for coyotes....

As I've said before....This is the same critter that will flick its ears and run AWAY when I turn my "safety" off at 50 yards, but will run TOWARDS my truck, as I go down the highway at 60 mph, radio blasting!!? Deer SUCK! I've gotten more with my vehicles than I can ever get during hunting season!

I seem to see just the opposite her in Cali., maybe our deer are smarter than the deer in Mich., LOL... or maybe it's my loud exhaust, I always have some sort of aftermarket exhaust system on all of my vehicles.... I've used them for years never any issues, while everyone around me seems to hit deer galore, especially on Phoenix Lake Rd. her in Sonora area, it's a very popular crossing area for deer in our area....
