Car has been running great all summer. Went to go drive it today and it has a miss at 2000rpm. If I lay into the throttle it goes away . 440,750 holley, holley elec. Fuel pump ,msd ignition.

Could be a lot of causes. Easy stuff first...clean the carb, try a known good coil, plugs/wires in good condition, fuel filter/pressure and so on.

Could be one fouled plug - caused by a loose or broken plug wire.

If you're 'shooting ducks' at speed....check the leads, then plugs before going messing around in the carb.

If it randomly misses at light throttle and goes away under acceleration I would suspect a bad plug wire. It’s a strange phenomenon I don’t fully understand but have experienced it more than once.

Agreed

IMO.....possibly too much or too aggressive (rate) spark advance combined with vacuum advance. OP said the pronlem goes away at full throttle (zero vacuum advance at WOT, no matter if ported or manifold sourced). Simple test: disconnect distributor vacuum and see if problem goes away. Just a thought......

The car was running fine before . Something has failed, or is on it way out. Unless he changed something that he didn't tell us about

IF everything was OK B4 hand, its POSSIBLY fuel related....too much ethanol, causing a lean fuel ratio and poor ignitability, b4 additional carb (WOT) comes into play .....maybe?? Just thinking out loud......
