I bought a polyester primer/surfacer (Eastwood Contour) which came with a couple of tubes of hardener. I have been unable to find instructions on how much to mix. I've even looked on their website. The only thing the instructions say is "Mix 5% by weight". How do I do that? Has anyone else used this product or something similar? This is my first time painting or priming (or will be once I get this figured out).

think this is what your asking....

weigh the amount of primer u will use at the time, then take that weight and add 5% hardener to that...do this for each use

But who uses weight as a way to measure liquids? Usually liquids are measured by amount (ounce, cup, pint, etc.).

probably these guys 103130_d0035b.jpg...lol

using weight is constant...and can be very accurate
