In the process of updating / switching thing around and decided to remove my cobalt mini monster and replace with the phantom 5" tach . Just trying to get some ideas of where to place it , if I should go near the steering column or on top of the dash. You guys think on top of the dash is looks alittle much for a quick street / strip car? Post up some pics if ya got em

Dash next to the down bar... not intrusive but lets everyone know its there...

In the old days with my bracket cars, tach was on the dash above the steering wheel, although I really shifted by ear most of the time (except the one time I went to 8400 & broke lots of parts). I could hear 7000 RPM pretty well. My Satellite has the tach mounted low, but the shift light gives me the shift timing.

I'm pretty happy with the new tach / location. Definitely was a tight fit... Probably should've tested it before I buttoned everything up lol
