Actually QQ1 is a little darker and a little more "electic" Blue. The problem is with the way paint formulas have changed they have kind of blended togather, but there WAS difference back in the day. However even in the day there was a difference in paint colors one car to another. As always, temp, humidity, metallic, blotches, etc. made a difference.
Steve Juliano and I had a conversation about this a while back as he had 5 original Dealer Color and Upholstery Books for a particular year that he said there was a noticable difference in ALL of the books on the same color he wanted to paint his car, and was trying to decide which was right. I told him to try to color match the one he liked best and if anyone ever challenged the color with him to pull THAT book out and end the arguement.
