Last year I came across a 68 Charger R/T 4sp CL add, car was rotted to hell, guy wanted $15k. It was located only a couple miles from me (supposedly). I emailed the guy back and forth for a week, he would never agree to come let me look at the car. I don't think it was a real ad, not sure what he was after.

Does this look like another scam ad? https://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/d/1970-dodge-super-bee-440-six/6592696706.html

Not sure what to make of the single picture ad's with a BS generic description like that. What would the scammer be after in this situation exactly?

when its too good to be true..its not!

You will love this one in original shape with a 426 motor and a manual transmission for only $9,800.

A deposit, sent by Western Union or paypal.....from 10 different people for a car the "seller" doesn't own.

This scam is run ALL THE TIME in Chicago, but mainly for apartments for rent. They steal an online picture or take one of their own of a house for sale, place an add on craigslist saying it's for rent. You're told you can drive by and look, but they're not in town & many people are asking about it, so if you want it, you'd better put down a deposit quick.

Hemmings seems to be a popular site to lift ads from these days...a good practice nowadays is to copy the ad title or info and paste into google, or directly on known legitimate sales sites

I ask for pictures to be texted, of the fender tag and other numbers, you don’t get that right away and they ask for you email instead of texting then it’s probably a scam.

Soooo the Nigerian prince I gave my bank account number to is a fake?????? He seemed so honest!
