Looking for recommendations on a machine shop in North GA that can bore my 440 block. I've got scoring on #2 and would like to find someone with 440 expierence.

Can it be honed? Just a thought. Race season is coming so you will probably be waiting a while.

If you're not looking for anything a lot more difficult that boring the block most any competent automotive machine shop can handle that job...

I use this guy in Fayetteville. He works on everything, but does a lot of circle track motors. He's pretty quick to get things done, especially if you are paying cash. He's done 2 440s for me and I always put down some cash for a deposit, even though he has never asked me for one. The 440 in my GTX I had him do he cleaned and checked the block, bored .030, recondition rods, checked line bore, surfaced block, turned crank .010/.010, balanced, installed new pistons on rods all for $1800. I did all the assembly my self, with a nice Edelbrock cam and lifters and 750 Edelbrock carb and headers and it runs great.
